New Europe-wide collection from EGGER
ZOOM®, EGGER’s new specification collection, offers a wealth of innovative ideas and products for the design and shopfitting communities.
The collection, which launched on the 15th of January at the BAU Exhibition in Munich, brings together all of EGGER’s international know-how to offer a stylish collection that architects and fabricators can rely on to provide a complete range of coordinated products.
ZOOM® is based on the brand premise: Focus – See – Feel, which summarises what the new collection is all about.

In the development of ZOOM®, EGGER has created an all-embracing, coherent product system to meet specific market needs. ZOOM® is a trend-driven, yet well balanced decor collection, available with a wide variety of core boards, through to new levels of customer service.

EGGER has selected the most cutting-edge designs from a myriad of trends. The high quality decors, textures and core boards are eye catching and with ZOOM®, everything matches and can be co-ordinated.
• Feel - Experience service
ZOOM® doesn’t only focus on the development of new decors and textures but also on the service and interaction of which EGGER customers and users receive. The company has invested significantly in a range of customer support services including a dedicated and efficient sample service and a number of innovative new digital service products to enable customers to experience ZOOM® and find their way around the vast product range with ease.
Comprehensive choice of solutions from a single source
All ZOOM® decors are available in a variety of co-ordinated product combinations. This means that decors will be available in sheet laminate and on the widest variety of core boards, from conventional melamine-faced MDF and chipboard, to innovative core boards such as decorative sound absorbing panels as well as lightweight boards. In addition, EGGER can also supply Melamine Edging and ABS Security Edging to match perfectly in terms of both decor and texture. Contrasting Accent Edging completes the product range for interior design, shopfitting and furniture. This means that compromise will be a thing of the past for designers.
The ZOOM® range is fixed until 2011 so specifications can be made safe in the knowledge that the products and colours will be available for a defined period. Whilst nothing will be removed from the range, further products will be added to ZOOM® as they are developed. EGGER’s strong sales and distribution network throughout the UK and Europe ensures ZOOM® products can be specified quickly and efficiently, a major benefit for international, cross border projects.
Diverse ZOOM® decors and textures
“All decors have been thoroughly reviewed and refined to develop a perfect colour spectrum” explained Product Manager Klaus Monhoff. The range is completed by the development of new textures that are designed to combine with particular decors perfectly, thus complementing the visual impact with a tactile experience.
Balanced colour wheel –ZOOM® offers a comprehensive range.
More colour is evident in every product area. “Market research clearly shows that colours are in increasing more demand in the furniture industry and interior design. Inspired by lifestyle, today anything goes in furnishing,” remarked Monhoff. EGGER had already built up a large palette of Uni colours in its previous collections. With ZOOM®, more Uni decors have been added to the range to embraced the trend towards more colour, and offers numerous colours including intermediate tones. In developing their Uni palette, EGGER assembled a colour wheel to ensure that all bases, shades and hues were covered.
Premium White - Through-Grained edging and laminates.
White is no longer the ubiquitous colour it has been for years and has acquired a major new role in interior and furniture design. EGGER recognised this trend, and in collaboration with renowned European designers, developed Premium White, which is clearer and more brilliant than any white before. It presents designers and shopfitters alike with a new alternative to lacquered surfaces. It has a significantly higher covering capacity and is the brightest white that can be manufactured. Available in the material combinations of EURODEKOR® MFC and MDF, Laminate, Melamine Edging and Security Edging, a “through-grain” laminate is also available.
Creative decors – Re-interpreting nature.
During the design process, designers and architects seek out the unusual and the distinctive. The creative decors in the ZOOM® collection are specially designed to feel natural and familiar, yet still seem abstract.
Distinctive Fantasy decors which take inspiration from pared veneer in addition to leather-like effects and those which look like elephant skin, offer fantastic visual effects.
Woodgrains - Ideal today and tomorrow
Focus – See – Feel is particularly significant for woodgrains. Current focus is on the trend-conscious development of woodgrains and on Classic woodgrains such as Oak, Beech and Birch, which have been updated for the ZOOM® collection.
The classic decors provide users with an inspiring, stylish and incredibly realistic classic woodgrain range to select from, offering attractive combinations for commercial interiors.
EGGER was quick to embrace the trend towards striking, distinctive and exotic woods. Such wood options are highly regarded in design, particularly in the interior and furniture area.
Distinctive and exotic woods are already used in bold commercial interiors but also increasingly for entire items of furniture, from tables to kitchens, and are ideal for combining with Uni colours. Walnut in particular offers a combination of naturalness and colour and EGGER sees it as the number one trend Woodgrain for a long time to come.
Decor match system
The EGGER decor match system offers colour matched materials, in both colour and texture, in EURODEKOR® Melamine Faced Boards, EUROFORM® Laminates and Melamine and Security Edging. This means that products can be co-ordinated throughout projects according to the required performance levels. Having the option to ‘Project’ or ‘Value’ engineer opens up the possibility to eliminate over specification, ensure materials are fit for purpose, facilitate colour continuity and even save project costs.

EGGER provides superior customer care via thier dedicated sample and information hotline and via a range of new digital services which are available to support the new range. All customer groups can benefit from this service from architects to fabricators.

Online advice - All the information you need, around the clock
EGGER has launched a new website for the ZOOM® collection. At www.egger.co.uk/zoom all decor-specific information is accessible, in full, around the clock. The website provides access to the EGGER Product Information Service, which contains information on suitable application areas, technical datasheets and test reports, and to the sample service, where decor samples can be viewed and ordered.
Online highlight - ZOOM®Scenio
ZOOM®Scenio is a visualisation tool. It allows users to select from 19 virtual room settings in both the domestic and commercial sectors and explore the many different decor combinations from within the ZOOM® range. All areas can be altered within the virtual room settings – users can select any of the 240 ZOOM® decors, EGGER laminate flooring and even paint finishes for walls. Designs can be saved, emailed and printed.
The Surface Design Show
