1. With increased use of wood based panels across all markets throughout the UK and Ireland, Egger are committed to meeting the demand through investment in new technology and plant.
2. The first phase of the £110m investment at the plant in Hexham, Northumberland has been completed.
Commissioning of the Conti-Roll is underway.
3. Products manufactured at the 50 acre Hexham plant include Eurospan chipboard, EURODEKOR® melamine faced chipboard and Weyroc flooring panels.
4. Our 25 acre satellite production site in Barony, Ayrshire in Scotland, manufacture Eurospan chipboard and increased Egger's UK's capacity of raw chipboard to 850,000m3 per annum.
5. Egger UK are committed to the environment and sustainability through adherance to responsible timber supplies via the FSC accreditation scheme, through our own timber recycling company Timberpak, developing a timber processing recycling plant and by investing in state of the art environmental filtration technology.
6. Egger UK has:
- 574 employees
- invested £100m in expanding and improving the existing Weyroc plant which was taken over in 1984
- a turnover of £125m
