Egger's HDC (Heavy Duty Chipboard) is ideal for use as an access flooring panel and as such they are strong but lightweight. This ensures that they are both easy to install and remove for building maintenance. Their surface finish allows good adhesion of floor coverings if required.
Composition and manufacture
Egger's access flooring is made from EUROSPAN® Rawboard, a three-layer particle board consisting of two fine surface layers and a homogeneous core layer, manufactured in accordance with EN 312. It is available in P5 and P6 chipboard grades. P6 is for heavy-duty load-bearing applications, whilst P5 is for load-bearing in humid environments.
Dimensions
Egger's access flooring boards are available in a range of sizes to suit client requirements. All panels can be cut to size on the company's Schelling saw facility at Hexham, minimising the time needed to finish boards on site and speeding up the installation process.
The saw offers tolerances of - 0.1mm at 3m cutting lengths, squareness accuracy of +/- 0.3mm at 1m side length and dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.2mm. The maximum book height is 210mm and the minimum board cut is 300x100mm.
All HDC boards are available to special order, please contact us for details building.uk@egger.com
