Do Egger have a written environmental policy?
Yes, Egger takes environment issues very seriously and regularly updates its environmental policy. To view our environmental policy click here.


What are the formaldehyde levels in EGGER boards?
Formaldehyde is naturally present in all wood and the resin we use to make the boards is as low as currently possible.  EGGER produce to E1 standard with low formaldehyde  officially suggested by the World Health Organisation (WHO) i.e. <8mg over 100mg.

For Rawboard and MFC -  0.008% and Class 1 emission

For MDF - 0.009% and Class A emission

Boards with 0% added formaldehyde E0 are available as special orders via EGGER imports.


What are the main wastes generated by Egger?
Main wastes generated include, wood grit, general waste, ashes, impregnation paper, canteen/office and a small quantity of liquid waste.
