What standards is HDX manufactured to?HDX P5 is manufactured to EN312-5:2003, HDX P6 to EN312-6:2003, both are manufactured from FSC certified wood stocks and are CE approved
What sizes is HDX available in?
All HDX is 38mm thick, HDX P5, HDX P6 and HDX P6 Protect is available in 2100x600mm or 2400x600mm ex stock
What finishes is HDX available in?
HDX is available as standard in HDX P5, HDX P6 and HDX P6 Protect, to special order we can manufacture HDX P5 Protect, HDX Refect and HDX Class O. We can also combine finishes e.g. HDX Protect and HDX Class O or HDX Reflect (subject to minimum order quantities please contact us for details)
Is HDX Protect dual sided?
No HDX Protect is only supplied with Protect to the upper surface as standard
What is the pack weight?
2100mm x 600mm = 1.26 tonnes / 2400 x 600mm = 1.43 tonnes
What are the physical properties of HDX?
Tested in accordance with EN312-5 / 6:2003 calculated in accordance with EN326-1:1994. All results verified by WKI Quality Assessment K2747 / 06 &K2748 / 06 dated 13.12.2006

What is the difference between Service Class 1 and Service Class 2?
Service Class 1 is for use in dry conditions, for this purpose we recommend either HDX P5 or HDX P6 , For Service Class 2 for use in humid conditions we recommend the use of HDX P5 grade only.
Is HDX suitable for concentrated loads?
Yes - 38mm HDX is suitable for 1 tonne pallet trucks all up weight at maximum 700mm joist centres, and for 1.5 tonne pallet trucks at maximum 535mm joist centres.
How do you fix HDX?
Fixings should be made as per diagram (See page 15 of brochure), fastenings should not be made less than 25mm from sheet edges using appropriate fixings such as Tek screws.
How do you fix a handrail to HDX?
Base plates should be fixed either through the flange of a supporting steel section or are provided with a washer plate
What expansion gap is required?
Sheet edges should be butted together leaving a perimter gap from the floor to the wall of 2mm per meter plus 1mm for every meter above 12 meter run of board. Where expansion gaps are provided all edges of the board should be supported.
How do you clean HDX and HDX Protect?
For all HDX products a stiff brush and a damp cloth should be sufficient to clean the product. The use of water based paints or solvants is not recommended.
How do you seal HDX boards?
We recommend that epoxy based paints and resins may be used to seal the floor

How do you store HDX?
